GLENFORD CHEESEMAN |
|
Mr. Glenford Cheeseman was elected as the new Chairman the Club's Annual General Meeting on 2005 January 25. he has been a member of the Club for the past twenty four (24) years. Mr. Cheeseman is presently the Manager, Maintenance Services in the Refinery Division and has been employed with Petrotrin for the past 33 years. Glen (as he is usually called) is a former National Cyclist who has represented
the country both locally and abroad, and is the holder of several National Cycling Championship Medals in both the Kilometer Time Trial and the Match Sprint.
Mr. Cheeseman is married with four (4) daughters, three (3) whom are on scholarships at Universities in the U.S.A. including one at Yale University in Connecticut. |

RICHARD
QUANCHAN |
|
Richard
Quanchan is the Vice-Chairman of the Sports Club and was the Chairman of the hockey section for the past
nine years. He has been a member of the Petrotrin Sports Club for the
past thirty six years. Presently he is employed in the Industrial
Relations department and has been employed with Petrotrin for the
past 35 years.
He has been
involved in hockey and football, both at national and international
levels.
Some of Richard's
sporting achievements to date:
-
Two time WITCO nominee for Hockey
-
Played with the National Men’s Hockey team at Pan Am Games (4 times)
-
Played with the National Men’s Hockey team at CAC Games (4 times)
-
Coached National teams at Commonwealth Games.
Mr. Quanchan is an all round individual. He is married with one son who received a scholarship and is presently studying in England. He comes from a hockey family background and his siblings are also involved in hockey. |

MERVIN MONTOUTE
|
|
Mr. Mervin Montoute was elected as Treasurer of the Club at the Annual General Meeting held on 2005 January 25. Mr. Montoute is an Analyst in the Methods and Procedures Department, a member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has been employed with Petrotrin for the past 16 years. Mr. Montoute is married with two children, an avid sports fan who enjoy playing footfall and cricket. |

JOSEPH LA TOUCHE |
|
Joseph La Touche is an elected committee member of the Sports Club. He is also the Chairman of the Entertainment Committee of the Sports Club and the editor of the Club's newsletter, "Sportslite". He is a Senior Draughtsman in the Design and Engineering Department of Petrotrin and has worked with the company for the past twenty five years.
Mr. La Touche is married and the father of four children - one boy and three girls and is also a grandfather. He is on the Board of the Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Persons in San Fernando. |

GAIL LEERA-WALTERS |
|
Gail Leera-Walters is an elected Committee Member of Petrotrin Sports
Club. She has worked with the company for the past twelve years and
is currently a Management Assistant in the Human Resource Services
Department. Gail is currently pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree in Labour
Studies - Year III at Cipriani College of Labour and Co-Operative
Studies. She is married and is the mother of two boys. Her
hobbies includes cricket and table tennis. |

RONALD
BRERETON |
|
Ronald Brereton
is an elected Committee Member on the Club's Management Committee and has
held that post for the past three years. He is an Industrial
Relations Officer with the Industrial Relations Department. He has
worked with Petrotrin for the past thirty-four years.
He is married and
has children. Mr. Brereton was once an avid member of the OWTU
movement.

PETER
GRIFFITH |
|
Peter
Griffith is the Chairman of the Athletics and Cycling section of the Sports
Club and has held that position for the past five years. He is
employed with the Tube Bundle Shop as a Special Grade Clerk and has
worked in that department for the past thirty-one years.
Mr. Griffith is
married with children. He is a founding member of the Valiants
Sports and Cultural Club in Pleasantville. He is also interested in
jazz music, sports and takes part in sporting activities at departmental
level.

HINFORD
JOSEPH |
|
Hinford Webster Joseph is the Chairman of the Football
section and has held that position for at least five years. He is
employed with the Oil Stocks department as a Clerk and has worked with the
company for twenty-six years. He is an avid community worker and
is involved with his village
council. He is also on the PTA board of the Primary school in his
area although he no longer has children attending Primary school. Hinford is also the
Assistant Secretary of the OWTU weekly paid branch for Pointe-a-Pierre.
He is married and is the father of three children, two girls and a boy. The eldest girl is presently attending college in the United States
on a football scholarship.

IAN
PHILLIPS |
|
Ian
"Boots" Phillips recently joined the Management team of the
Petrotrin Sports Club as the Other Sections Representative. He is
responsible for Sections such as Billiards, Snooker and Cards and Lawn
Tennis.
Mr. Phillips has
been employed with Petrotrin for the past twenty eight years. He is employed
with the Human Resources Services Department as a Human Resource Assistant.
His hobbies include dancing and socializing. |
