The Track area is approximately 400 meters with a slight
embankment for cycling and is grassy.
It also has facility for 800 meter lanes. The south-eastern side of the field is also used for javelin,
discus and shot putt.
The
main field is used mainly for cricket and football matches.
It is also rented out to companies, churches, schools both large
and small and for Family and Sports Day.
For Regional and Local cricket the seating capacity is 5000 persons
occupying Stands A, B, C, D and E. Approximately 2000 more can be seated
on the Cycle track and about 500 on the Bleachers.
There
is a Media Derrick which can accommodate both radio and television
commentaries.
It is situated on the side of the field and has three levels.
There is also an Announcer’s/Commentators booth which can house
commentators for the press as well as Scorers (for cricket).
You
can also find adequate bathroom facilities for both home and away teams
located behind the Main Stand (Stand A).
There are also bathroom facilities for Referees and Umpires.
The
President’s Box can accommodate approximately 120 VIPs seating.
Toilet facilities are located under the Stand and at the top
towards the back there is an area for catering.  Back to Top
Lower Ground:- This
area is divided into two fields used for hockey on the northern side and
cricket/football on the southern side.
The ground is ideal for playing league matches and can also be
rented out by small groups for cricket, football matches or sports.
There is no fixed accommodation so all facilities have to be
brought in i.e. chairs, tents, toilet facilities etc.
There
is also a small athletic training area around the perimeter of the ground
where athletes train.
On
the upper most part of the lower ground there are cricket-training nets,
which can be used during training sessions in bowling and catching.
Upper and lower ground are rented
out for Sporting activities such as football matches, hockey, cricket (wind ball
or hard ball - day matches or night matches), Athletic activities – Southern Games, School Sports, Company
Sports and Family Days, Chutney Shows, Comedy Shows and Calypso shows etc.
The Rates for the
use of the lighting system for night events such as cricket, football etc
is $400 per hour.
