Jeanne Roseanna Hospedales is a tenured and
seasoned legal professional whose
distinguished career journey with the
company commenced in 1990 when she joined
Trintoc, one of Petrotrin’s predecessor
companies to assume the position of Legal
Officer.
For just under one (1) year, she
independently managed all corporate,
contractual, and regulatory duties.
In 1998, Roseanna
was appointed to the position of
Corporate Secretary in which she
assumed the crucial responsibilities
of the corporate governance role.
She reports to Petrotrin’s Executive
Chairman, Mr. Malcolm Jones. Within
her range of responsibilities
include ensuring the efficiency of
all board activities, advising
company executives on board
procedures and managing the
company’s compliance with board
mandates. As Corporate Secretary,
she also provides strategic support
to the company’s Executive Chairman
with all aspects of corporate
governance and stakeholder
relations.
Prior to her
entrance into the Petrotrin family,
she was a Partner at a local family
owned and operated law firm that
specialized in corporate and civil
law. She received her Bachelor of
Laws degree (LL.B.) with Upper
Second Class Honours from The
University of the West Indies,
Cavehill, Barbados and proceeded to
acquire her professional
qualification with the acquisition
of her Legal Education Certificate
in 1987. Roseanna also pursued and
completed a Bachelor of Science
degree in Industrial Management and
once again received Upper Second
Class Honours from The University of
the West Indies, St. Augustine,
Trinidad, in 1977 following which
she worked at the Ministry of
Finance for six (6) years.
