Petrotrin to Conduct Seismic Survey in North Western District. Petrotrin will shortly start the acquisition of a 3D Land Seismic Survey in their North West District and API’s Oropouche farmout area of South Trinidad. Petrotrin Hosts 2009 ARPEL Workshop and CASYSIA Meeting. Petrotrin hosted an international Environmental Health and Safety meeting of the CASYSIA/ ARPEL group on October 20-22 2009, at the Petrotrin Pointe-a-Pierre Club. ARPEL, which is a Spanish acronym, stands for Regional Association of Oil and Natural Gas Companies in Latin America and it is an organisation with member companies in over 26 Latin American countries. Minister Enill: Petrotrin can Boost Production in the short to Medium Term. The country’s current production when converted to barrel of oil equivalent puts our oil production in a one to eight relationship, an imbalance that the Ministry of Energy Industries together with Petrotrin is working to address. Fifth Summit of the Americas - First Ever Spouses Programme held at Pointe-a-Pierre.  History was created in Trinidad and Tobago in the month of April as the country hosted the Fifth Summit of the Americas in Port of Spain. During the period April 17^th to 19^th 2009, 34 hemispheric heads of state and government from North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean participated in a series of roundtable events.
