Malcolm Jones, Executive Chairman of
Petrotrin, was previously President and
Chief Executive Officer of Titan Methanol
Company from 1996 to end of 2002. He has
both a B.Sc and M.Sc in Chemical
Engineering, obtaining his M.Sc. from
Queen’s University in Canada in 1970. He
was made a Fellow of the Association of
Professional Engineers of Trinidad and
Tobago in 2002.
Mr. Jones has held previous
positions as President of Trinidad
and Tobago Nitrogen Company Limited,
President and Managing Director of
the National Gas Company, Divisional
Head of the Methanol and Urea
Division of the National Energy
Corporation. He has over thirty-six
(36) years’ experience in Trinidad
and Tobago’s energy business
community.
Mr. Jones has served on the Board of
Directors of the Trinidad and Tobago
Nitrogen Company Limited,
Fertilizers of Trinidad and Tobago
Limited, Phoenix Park Gas Processors
Limited, Trinidad and Tobago Oil
Company Limited and has been
Chairman of the National Maintenance
Training and Security Company
Limited and Petroleum Company of
Trinidad and Tobago Limited. He is
presently a member of the
Government’s Standing Committee on
Energy and a member of the Natural
Gas Export Task Force, a
sub-committee of the Standing
Committee on Energy.
He was a member of the Board of
Directors of The Halfway House, a
non-profit organisation for battered
women and abused children for four
(4) years during two (2) of which he
served as Chairman.
