Mr. Corneal graduated with a Bachelor’s
degree in Communications from the
University of South Florida in 1984. In
1995, he attained a Master’s Degree in
Education from the Nova Southeastern
University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
He later served as a lecturer of
Communications at the Miami Dade
Community College and at the University
of the West Indies, St. Augustine
Campus.
During the period 1999- 2002, Mr.
Corneal held the position of
Communications Advisor in the Office of
the President of the Republic of
Trinidad and Tobago during the tenure of
Arthur NR Robinson.
When he joined Petrotrin in 2003, Mr.
Corneal brought a new perspective to the
importance of communications and its
role in supporting the core operations
of the organisation, as well as
transforming its image and focus. Since
his tenure with the organisation, he has
been instrumental in enhancing its focus
on corporate social responsibility,
which resulted in the organisation’s
recognition at the International
Business Awards in Dublin, Ireland in
2008.
As the Manager, Corporate
Communications, Mr. Corneal is required
to work closely with the Company’s
Executive Management to determine
communication strategies, which will
facilitate a conducive environment as it
relates to groups, organizations,
interest groups and communities,
resulting in the attainment of the
Company’s strategic initiatives. Mr.
Corneal was recently appointed as a
member of the Company’s Executive
Leadership Team.
Mr. Corneal is a member of the
International Public Relations
Association. He also serves as the
Chairman of the Executive Committee of
the United Petrotrin Football Program as
well as the Chairman of the Petrotrin
Pointe-a-Pierre Staff Club.
